Case Number One:
~THE HAUNTED HOUSE OF MINERAL RIDGE~
Updated - Friday, October 02, 1998

The Latest: On September 30th, we visited the History Room of the Warren Public Library and were able to verify all of the historical facts presented below.
We have pieced together a much clearer picture of the history of the house and the land it occupies. For the first time, we have a near complete record of the houses previous owners, including some supsicious entries of their death records. In particular, an Inquest into the death of one individual occurred there in 1904.
As things become clearer, it is looking more and more like a portion of the hauntings may be caused in part by the tragic death(s) of coal minors - who drowned in a flooded mine just yards away from the house and who's bodies were never recovered.

Overview:
The House in Mineral Ridge is very Haunted. The hauntings were evident in numerous ways on many occasions. They include the entire gamut of symptoms - from spectral manifestations and psycho-atmospheric disturbances to heavy wall pounding and profane voices from black corners of a certain room. This is the house we spent eight years in. Thanks to a series of fortunate contacts, we were able to establish a general history of the house and it's tenants dating back to the 1860s. You will find details of these events in the near future.

History in Brief:
The House was originally built as a Saloon or in the 1860s to serve the local coal miners of Mineral Ridge. The original owner was believed to be "dutch" but we currently dont know more than that. Later it became a little country store and a two story / two room motel was added for miners staying for short periods of time.  Eventually, it was changed into a home around the turn of the century - where my key historian of the house was born. It was from him that we dervived these basic facts.
We expect to have many new historical facts. A special section will be linked to this case detailing these facts.

Deaths known to have occurred in the house:
3 Infants and two adults are known to have died in the house. More on this will be posted in detail soon.
